WARDOGS PS5 & Xbox Release Date: Console Status (2026)
There is no confirmed WARDOGS PS5 or Xbox release date as of August 25, 2026. The August 21-23 Closed Beta was for Windows PC through Steam and has ended. Team17's current press listing names Steam only. Everplay previously described a full multi-platform release as planned for 2027, but it did not name PS5, Xbox or a console launch date.
Is WARDOGS coming to PS5 or Xbox?
Neither a PS5 version nor an Xbox Series X|S version has been formally announced. Team17's current WARDOGS press entry lists Steam as the platform, and the official Steam page only specifies Windows PC requirements.
This means there is no verified console release date, PlayStation or Xbox store page, console price or console beta to report. A search result or retailer page should not be treated as confirmation unless it links to a current announcement from BULKHEAD, Team17, PlayStation or Xbox.
Is the WARDOGS beta on Xbox?
No Xbox beta is currently confirmed. The August 21-23 Closed Beta used Steam accounts and a Windows PC build; pre-purchase access and the limited random Playtest route both ran through Steam, and that test has now ended.
Controller support on the PC build does not confirm an Xbox release or Xbox beta. Console testing would need its own first-party platform announcement, store listing and access instructions.
What the 2027 multi-platform plan says
In January 2025, Everplay described WARDOGS as planned for PC Early Access in 2026 and a full multi-platform release in 2027. That is credible evidence of a broader release direction, but it is not the same as naming PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Plans can change during development. Until consumer-facing platform announcements appear, the accurate status is PC confirmed, consoles unconfirmed and 2027 only a published target for the full multi-platform release.
What is confirmed right now
WARDOGS is scheduled to enter Steam Early Access for Windows PC on September 11, 2026. The Steam page lists online PvP, up to 100 players, three teams, vehicles, construction, destruction and a persistent cash economy.
Players waiting for PS5 or Xbox should follow the official Steam news, Team17 press hub and BULKHEAD channels rather than buying unofficial console keys or pre-orders.
