WARDOGS does not currently publish a dedicated public status dashboard that this independent wiki can verify. The Closed Beta is scheduled for August 21-23, 2026. For live availability, check the official Steam announcements and WARDOGS Discord; a Playtest entitlement or installed client does not mean servers are open at every hour.
How to check WARDOGS availability
Start with the WARDOGS Steam announcements page, then check the official Discord announcement and support channels. These sources can report maintenance, delayed openings, queue pressure or an early closure faster than a static guide.
This page deliberately does not display a green or red live-status badge because no first-party telemetry feed has been published for us to query. An invented uptime indicator would be less useful than a transparent link to the official channels.
Beta window and access are different
The announced Closed Beta runs August 21 through August 23. Steam pre-purchase access is guaranteed for that test, while native Steam Playtest selection is limited and random.
Entitlement answers whether your account may install the build. Server status answers whether the test backend is accepting players. Both must be true before matchmaking can work.
Server issue or local issue?
If many regions report the same error and official channels acknowledge it, wait for an update. If the service is reported online but only one PC fails, restart Steam and the network, disable VPN routing and preserve the exact message for troubleshooting.
A missing Library entry is normally not a server outage; it is an entitlement or account issue. An Easy Anti-Cheat launch error also occurs before matchmaking and should follow the local launch checklist.
What happens after the Closed Beta
Time-limited test servers can close even while the client remains installed. Do not assume the test build will stay playable between August 23 and the September 10 Early Access release.
BULKHEAD may announce more tests or schedule changes, but only dated first-party posts should be treated as confirmation. Bookmark the announcement feed rather than relying on an old search-result snippet.
